Summary: Under the direction of and reporting to the Critical Power Regional Director, the Electrician will primarily be responsible for performing lead electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment for National Power customers. The successful candidate will have the ability to independently assess the needs of a job based on schematics or blueprints but may also conduct assignments based on written and oral instructions. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, teamwork abilities, and a commitment to safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Core duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide on-site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of equipment.
- Oversee all network services and perform tests on equipment and circuits.
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve any requests or concerns that come up in a timely manner.
- Perform tests to ensure systems are error-free.
- Maintain relationships with customers and follow company guidelines.
- Guide clients on how to properly use equipment.
- Following all applicable building codes and safety regulations.
- Make suggestions for equipment upgrades while maintaining the current inventory, including vans and trucks.
- Update project records and prepare relevant documents and reports.
Education, Experience, and Other Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical installation.
- California Electrician Trainee (ET) card.
Work conditions and physical demands: - Travel up to 50%.
- Lifting and carrying heavy objects, up to 75lbs, will be required
- Ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, stairs, ramps and the like using feet/legs and/or hands/arms
- Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand(s)
- Pushing/pulling may involve the use of hands/arms, feet/legs, and/or feet, done with one side of the body or both sides.
- Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet to enter restricted spaces
- Occasionally, using one or both feet or legs to move controls on machinery or equipment
- Clarity of vision and color vision are both required (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers
- Sitting/Driving for long periods is frequently required
Compensation and Benefits: - Competitive pay depending on previous experience and current certifications. Overtime is also a factor and is paid at 1.5 X base. We are a performance-based company and pay will ultimately reflect the employee's productivity and overall performance.
