Qualifications:
- Technical degree in electrical field plus 2 years of related industrial experience or 3-5 years of related industrial experience.
- Be willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating swing shift
- Be capable of working in high temperatures.
Roles and Responsibilities:1Learn, accept and live Century Aluminum's Safety Mission Statement2Logs onto SAP system to receive, update and properly close, write work orders, purchase order parts and record hours worked on orders by entering data into predetermined fields. May receive printed work orders from supervisor or customer.3Performs safety check on forklifts, other vehicles, cranes, and machines operated following check list / form.4Troubleshoots and repairs Electrical components.5Assists with planning and installation of new Electrical systems and equipment.6Troubleshoots and repairs heating (including hot water), ventilation, and cooling equipment.7Monitors radio and responds to calls from operators, maintenance, or supervisory personnel reporting Electrical failures or malfunctions.8Cleans tools, equipment, and work areas daily. Stows tools in proper areas, returns vehicles, cranes, lifts, and hoists to appropriate areas and positions.9Communicates with supervisors, purchasing, outside vendors, co-workers and internal customers.10Participates in the evaluation and purchase of new equipment. Attends training seminars on maintenance procedures.11Tests and calibrates Electrical meters and instrumentation.12Makes repairs, performs preventive maintenance and does routine switching in high voltage switch yard.13Performs lock-outs on equipment and re-energizes once repair is complete.14Perform other tasks as assigned.
