Secondary responsibilities include the following essential duties and responsibilities. Maybe on call on a rotational basis.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with the public and fellow associates
- Possess a New York State Driver's license or a drivers license from another area with a Driver's Abstract
- Reads and interprets prints, diagrams, instructions, schematics and has effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Uses computer office programs, department specific programs, computer controlled equipment/systems
- Assists in setup/tear down of events and in supply, material, and inventory moves
- Maintains records of routine and preventative maintenance of all Electrical equipment
- Performs preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment.
- Routinely inspects electrical panels and equipment to ensure wiring safe.
- Maintains a constant watch over all transformers, ensuring excessive heating does not occur.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment to effectively execute job responsibilities.
- Ensures an optimal level of guest service is achieved by completing daily work and special projects in an efficient, timely manner.
- Expand existing electric services to accommodate remodeling and new construction projects.
- Is proficient in other building trade skills: General Construction, HVAC/Refrigeration, Plumbing, Painting, Locksmith, Electrical/Mechanical Systems, and related skills: Fleet Work, Gaming Equipment, Grounds Keeping, Engraver, etc.
- Protects and secures company assets: Property, Guest and Associate Safety, Fire Panel, Sprinkler system, Generator/ATS, UPS, Cooling Tower, Rotor Rooter, Emergency Response, Water Softener, Kitchen Equipment, Refrigeration, Handicap Doors, Chemical Handling, HVAC Control System, Electrical/Mechanical Systems, etc.
- Builds, installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains casino properties
- Operates snow removal equipment: plow truck, sand/salt spreader, snow blower, shovels etc.
- Operates lawn maintenance equipment: riding and walk behind mowers, hedge clippers, weed trimmers, etc.
- Keeps properties clean, neat, and organized - occasionally assists housekeeping staff with critical facilities cleaning tasks
- Assists guest and associates with vehicle emergencies: lockouts, boosting batteries, changing tires
- Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Shift Manager and Assistant Facilities Shift Manager.

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (A.A.S) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in the field of electricity, or 4 to 6 years commercial electrical construction/maintenance experience with a High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Preferably a combination of education and experience.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other associates of the organization.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must obtain and maintain a New York State certification and St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Class III License which requires a criminal background check to be used solely for employment purposes. Successful candidates for employment must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment being confirmed.
