Our electricians are crucial in assisting our maintenance team with keeping machinery functioning at an optimal level and using their reasoning skills to identify alternative solutions and new approves to problems.SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONSInstall, maintain and repair electrical equipmentand parts such as control panels. Perform general electrical maintenanceand inspection of electrical components. Troubleshoot electrical issuesusing appropriate testing devices.ESSENTIAL OF DUTIESPerform preventive maintenance as scheduled. Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs. Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications. Participate in action planning process Track/record time and all repair parts using work orders & maintenance management system Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems. Install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications. Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment. Follows basic blueprints, specifications or verbal instructions and plans the intended location of wiring and equipment. Measure, cut, assemble and install electrical wiring and conduit, stripping, splicing and soldering as necessary. Attaches cables and wiring to the incoming electrical service and to various fixtures and machines that use electricity. Perform basic adjustments and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components Set up, operate, and tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies. All other duties assigned by supervisor. ADDITIONAL DUTIESKeep work and surrounding area safe, clean and free of debris ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSReports directly to the maintenance supervisorQUALIFICATIONSPrefer High School Diploma/GED 3 Years maintenance experience 3 Years industrial electrician Understand and follow oral or written instructions issued by supervisors Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations. Ability to exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
