Position Purpose:

The Electrician will install, repair and maintain the electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in buildings while ensuring work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Major Functional Responsibilities

* Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.

* Troubleshoot electrical issues regarding production equipment.

* Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes

* Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.

* Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.

* Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.

* Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.

* Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.

* Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.

* Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.

* Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.

* Replaces circuit breakers as needed.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

* Ability to support with facility maintenance issues beyond electrical duties

* Have the correct knowledge of tools and their usage.

* Ability to disassemble and assemble equipment.

* Understanding of machine specific lockout/tagout procedures.

* Must have a general knowledge of Hazmat policies and procedures.

* Performs other duties as assigned

* Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications

Required Education:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Associate's Degree/2-Year Technical

Required Work Experience: 5-7 years

A minimum of 5 years of electrical maintenance experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Licenses and Certifications Required: Electrical Journeyman License (EE98J); a second related Journeyman's License; or Equivalent military experience or Completion of 60 Credit Hours Electrical.

Preferred Qualifications

Licenses and Certifications Preferred: Forklift and palate jack certification preferred
