Job Title: Electrician

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in both public and private buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires adherence to national safety standards and effective communication with team members and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Site Assessment: Survey job sites to plan and assess electrical installations.
  • Installation Planning: Draft detailed electrical installation plans and technical diagrams, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Installation and Repair: Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical systems in commercial, residential, and public spaces.
  • Compliance: Ensure all electrical systems are installed and maintained according to national electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Supervision and Support: Oversee ongoing electrical installations, providing guidance and technical expertise to team members as needed.
  • Blueprint and Manual Utilization: Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals to accurately complete projects.
  • Documentation: Complete work orders and accurately record materials and time used for each job.
  • Problem Diagnosis and Repair: Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, making necessary repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Equipment Recommendations: Advise management on replacing outdated electrical equipment to maintain safety and prevent hazards.
  • System Maintenance: Conduct general electrical maintenance, regularly testing systems to ensure they function safely and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably with both residential and commercial experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, tools, and testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of national electrical codes and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and installation manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift equipment, work in various environments, and handle strenuous tasks.
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration and client interaction.
