Position Overview:The Licensed Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems with an emphasis on low and high voltage systems, HVAC wiring, and troubleshooting. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical codes, experience with high-precision wiring, and the ability to work on systems across various voltages.Primary Responsibilities:
- Electrical Installations:
- Install and configure electrical systems, including low and high voltage systems and control panels, adhering to local electrical codes.
- Perform HVAC wiring installations, connecting systems for optimal functionality and energy efficiency.
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot issues in electrical systems, including HVAC wiring.
- Identify and resolve low and high voltage system problems efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
- Troubleshooting:
- Utilize technical skills to troubleshoot electrical issues across various systems, with a focus on accurately diagnosing and correcting faults.
- Apply troubleshooting techniques to HVAC and related electrical wiring systems.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Conduct all tasks with a commitment to safety, both personal and workplace, utilizing proper protective equipment and practices.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed service records for installations, repairs, and troubleshooting processes, including materials used and timelines.
- Document and communicate service reports and updates for clients and team members.
Qualifications:
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Must be a licensed electrician.
- Additional HVAC certifications or training are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience with both low and high voltage electrical systems.
- Demonstrated experience with HVAC wiring and related troubleshooting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in electrical wiring, reading blueprints, and technical schematics.
- Expertise in HVAC wiring and familiarity with troubleshooting electrical issues in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
- Knowledge of compliance with NEC and local building codes.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
