Job Description:
SHIFT: 2ndHOURS: 2:00pm-10:30pm = Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays. HOURLY PAY= $30.00-$35.00 PER HOURWhy you will love working at Maola:

Essential Duties - Electrician (Including, but not limited to)
  • Analyzes electro/mechanical problems of dairy processing and packaging equipment, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Works with current Controls Specialist and Mechanics in monitoring and troubleshooting of automated equipment, VFD's, HMI's and PLC's.
  • Troubleshoots plant and utility equipment making all necessary repairs.
  • Assist machine operators in determining when the machine should be shut down due to mechanical or electrical problems.
  • Perform established preventative maintenance procedures on plant equipment and completes appropriate paperwork.
  • Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers and disconnects.
  • Ability to read complexed electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and testing motors & motor control circuits.
  • Plan and oversee testing and calibration of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment to assist with troubleshooting equipment.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code.
  • Executes assigned projects under the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator/Maintenance Supervisor/Maintenance Manager.
  • Performs all work in a timely and professional manner, including follow-up to assure work was completed satisfactorily and documented properly in Micro Main.
  • Continue education as related to job skills, specifically electrical skills.
  • Ability to work overtime during breakdowns and scheduled maintenance, including occasional call in for emergency situations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned. Various tasks involving the responsibility of the food safety and quality of company products.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Aware of all safety procedures.
  • Aware of and wears all personal protective equipment.
  • Follows GMP regulations and guidelines.
Physical Demands
  • The physical demands listed below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of his job.
  • Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 8+ hours)

  • Bending: Frequently
  • Lifting: Heavy (50+ lbs) frequently
  • Carrying: Heavy (40-60 lbs) frequently distance Pushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs without assistance frequently
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of basic industrial 3-phase power, including AC and DC motors, relay logic and programmable control logic.
  • Must possess a basic working knowledge of power transmission equipment, mechanical drawings, scales, and symbols.
  • Prior experience in basic industrial electricity or equivalent in a plant setting.
  • Prior experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent. (lead/foremen experience preferred)
  • Intermediate Computer Skill (i.e. Word, Excel, etc).
  • Excellent Troubleshoot Experience.
  • Ability to work well with people.
  • Communication skills are a must.
  • Multi-tasked Individual.
  • Ability to work independently.
Work Environment
  • The work environment characteristics listed below represent conditions one would routinely encounter while performing the duties of this job function.
  • Moving machinery parts.
  • High noise levels.
  • Wet and humid conditions.
  • Burn hazard from high temperature processing equipment.
  • Fluctuations in ambient temperature.

  • Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed.

  • Must possess a full understanding and be in full compliance of all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to general safety rules, general work rules, good manufacturing practices (GMP's), harassment policy, drug and alcohol policy, etc.
