SUMMARY: Electricians will trouble shoot and repair electrical equipment; including automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems and alarms. They will install electrical equipment with minimal instructions after general assignment, diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, as well as detect and replace defective control modules. Electricians work directly with production managers, mechanics, millwrights, and operators. Must be the site leader in living and driving the Company Core Values and High-Performance Work Culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all required electrical maintenance and repair on all equipment throughout the facility, office, and manufacturing areas
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. This is done by following electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications
Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices
Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment by; interpreting wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, related machinery operation, leveraging proactive and collaborative discussions with others (managers, mechanics, millwrights, machinists, operators) to diagnose and resolve issues
Fluent in reading code and troubleshooting logic for multiple manufacturers PLC's used within ICC facilities and production equipment with computers, I/O lists and program documents
Supports vision inspection systems (calibrations, adjustments)
Research and recommend improvements and upgrades in all electrical systems throughout the plant
Installs new electrical equipment as required and permitted by law. Installs power, light, electronic and control circuits
Installs conduits, wires, controls, etc. as required. Connects power and cable supply wires between machines and equipment. Follows manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints using hand tools and test equipment to do this
Designs electrical systems and draws ladder diagrams and schematics
Available for emergency call-ins after hours as needed
Keep up to date on electrical codes and advise management as required
Interprets wiring diagrams, schematics drawings and related machinery operation
Performs any electrical Preventive Maintenance as needed
Maintains spare parts inventory of all necessary electrical materials and equipment
Completes thorough documentation of equipment issues/resolutions
All other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Courses as necessary to remain knowledgeable and ratified in electrical codes. Must be computer literate and knowledgeable using Windows 10. Electrical Journeyman license is beneficial, but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general and professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Journeyman papers if applicable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
