Members of underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.ABOUT THIS JOBOver hire electricians are brought in on a show-by-show basis and have standard electrician duties to supplement our staff electricians. This is a seasonal, part-time position, based on the calendar schedule of Alliance productions.RESPONSIBILITIESOver hire electricians will work in conjunction with staff, and are responsible for the proper hanging, cabling, patching, focus, and maintenance of any lighting fixtures in a given plot, dependent on the need of the production. Standard hours are 9 am to 6 pm, with any possible additional hours determined by show needs.QUALIFICATIONS- Able to read and interpret a light plot and light section- Able to read and interpret paperwork (channel hookup, instrument schedule, color schedule, circuit plot, etc)- Knowledge of proper hanging and focusing practices of fixtures and instruments- Knowledge of proper cabling and patching practices- Knowledge of programming intelligent fixtures preferred, but not required- Knowledge of ETC Ion xe and ETC Eos Ti light boards preferred, but not required- Possession of C-wrench and lanyard/squid- Possession of gloves recommendedPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIROMENT:The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
