Performs routine electro-mechanical assembly operations on components or subassemblies of moderate complexity. Assembles housings and chassis for electronic units to meet production schedules and performance standards. Duties and tasks are standardized but what is performed will vary day to day.RESPONSIBILITIES:Uses Operational Method Sheets, drawings, schematics, verbal/written instructions and hand tools to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble unitsWorks on assignments that are semi routine in natureCommunicates openly and effectively in a professional mannerUnderstands and follows all safety requirementsUnderstands and follows ISO practices and proceduresConsiders the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions.Other duties as assignedWORK ENVIRONMENT:Location: Ronkonkoma, NYWorks in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced. Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of hand tools. Overtime (OT) may be required in times of increased production or service repairsQUALIFICATIONS:Mechanical assembly skills and the ability to use hand toolsAbility to read technical assembly documentation requiredBasic PC knowledgeKnowledge of SAP preferredAbility to effectively work in a team environmentModels positive and professional work ethicsConsiders the impact to quality when making decisionsEXPERIENCE:Experience performing mechanical assembly using hand tools in an electronic manufacturing environmentExperience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environmentKnowledge and understanding of ESD practicesEDUCATION:High school education or equivalentCOMPENSATION:As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $22 to $24 per hour.
