G&H is seeking skilled professionals who are passionate about advancing healthcare technology and committed to ensuring quality in every detail of our products.ROLEThe Electromechanical Assembly Lead is responsible for assembling optical components and systems to meet specified tolerances and quality standards, while also guiding continuous improvement initiatives. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and teamwork to uphold the high-quality standards expected at G&H Rochester.RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE MEASURES
  • Optical and Electromechanical Assembly: Assemble components and systems according to work instructions and training, ensuring precise handling and placement to achieve required tolerances.
  • Quality Inspection and Documentation: Inspect parts and assemblies for cosmetic and functional quality. Record assembly processes for traceability and improvement. Notify the Quality Department or Manufacturing management of any part or machinery changes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest changes in working conditions, layout, or equipment use to enhance efficiency. Provide feedback on assembly processes and assist in updating work instructions.
  • Team Leadership and Support: Trains and demonstrate initiative by helping others learn techniques to complete work on time. Encourage a winning attitude and a customer-focused approach among team members, fostering open and proactive communication.
  • Process Development: Collaborate with the team to refine and document work instructions and cross-train in various assembly processes for safety and production flexibility.
  • Shift Readiness: Ensure work areas are organized and stocked for the next shift to facilitate smooth handoffs.
  • General Duties:As part of the G&H Rochester team, you will participate in daily operational tasks, including preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining workspaces, handling recyclables, and other tasks typically found in a small company.

Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in handling assembly tools and equipment for optical and electromechanical systems.
  • Attention to Detail: High standard of accuracy in assembly, inspection and documentation.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Ability to work collaboratively, assist teammates, and contribute to a positive work culture.
  • Continuous Learning: Shows initiative to learn new processes and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum, five (5) years of assembly, inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
