The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing cable assemblies, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer specifications. This role requires strong technical knowledge, creativity, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Job Responsibilities:
- Design 3D electrical models (panels, enclosures, feed-throughs, cable/wire routing) according to best practices (AC/DC isolation, bend radius, component space requirements).
- Create and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) from schematics / panel layouts.
- Work with external vendors and internal resources during the build process to capture redlines.
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of cable assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Create and maintain design documentation, including specifications and assembly instructions.
- Work closely with electrical engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensuredesign feasibility and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in the development of testing protocols for cable assemblies to ensure performance andreliability.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials and components for cable assemblies based onelectrical, mechanical, and environmental requirements.
Ensure designs adhere to Seurat cable design standards, relevant industry standards and regulations.Requirements:
- A.S./B.S. degree in Electrical, Robotics Engineering, or related.
- 5+ Years of experience in related fields.
- 5+ Years of experience with schematic capture using Solidworks.
- Experience as a design lead in developing detailed electrical documentation for complex control systems.
- Intimately familiar with NFPA79, UL508A, CE, and similar electrical standards.
