T&M is currently seeking a full-time Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Electrical & Automation team. This person will report through our Columbus, OH office, but will primarily work on site in Springfield, OH. This position is a technical role, the successful candidate will have experience in performing electrical, mechanical, process, and instrumentation design. This position will interface with PLC-based control systems and require some background with electrical and mechanical equipment and processes. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Providing electro-mechanical design support, technical analysis and /or resolution of engineering problems including the preparation of reports, plans and specifications.
- Supporting electrical designs for small and large municipal water, wastewater, groundwater treatment projects; industrial manufacturing projects for fortune 500 clients.
- Support our Process Automation / Instrumentation & Controls engineers on design, specification, and incorporation of NEC and applicable electrical codes
- Assisting, as part of a team, with marketing the electrical services of projects to both municipal and private sector clients primarily located in the Ohio area and our Midwest Region.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering with an automation-focus required.
- 1-3 years' experience preferred.
- Must have knowledge of electrical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents.
- Candidates must be adept at working collaboratively while building strong working relationships with our clients and staff members.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
