They are able to independently perform the duties and responsibilities for electroencephalography under general technical supervision and recognize clinically significant events.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Licensure/Certification:

• Current Electroencephalogram (EEG) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Knowledge:

• Experience performing neurological tests on patients of all ages.
• EEG and evoked potential procedure techniques.

Skills:

• Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills required.
• Ability to manage agitated, ill and uncomfortable patients.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to keep accurate and complete records.
• Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to reprioritize workload as needed.
