Job Title: Micro Electro-Mechanical Technician

Job Description

The Micro Electro-Mechanical Technician will perform all assembly operations on standard, new, and special designs, as well as functional testing and final testing. The position involves fabricating and assembling miniature electro-mechanical assemblies and devices using manual dexterity skills. Candidates will work on the first shift from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, assembling transducers and electronic components for the air and defense industry. The role requires soldering small parts under a microscope and standing 80% of the day.

Hard Skills

• Small parts assembly and soldering under a microscope

• Experience assembling or working with electronics

• Ability to work off of schematics

• Ability to use a computer

• Soldering, resistance welding, mechanical fastening, and adhesive bonding and wiring

• Fabricate and assemble miniature electro-mechanical assemblies

• Conduct and troubleshoot various calibrations

• Surface cleaning, identification, labeling, inspection, and packaging of components

• Limited functional testing and troubleshooting of sensors

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to interact with all levels within the organization

• Ability to multi-task and work both independently and with others

Job Type

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in AMHERST, New York.
