Role: EDI Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, Dublin, Ohio (preference in that order) – 5x onsite

Interview Process: 3 rounds

Perm Salary: $125K-130K + Annual Incentive (15%)

Summary:

Insight Global is looking for an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Manager to join one of our logistics clients. As the EDI Manager, you'll be responsible for the setup, support, maintenance and enhancements of EDI trading partners. Your focus will be on providing support to all customers and business users by providing proactive communication and ensuring enhancements are high quality and delivered in a timely, cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate has direct hands-on experience maintaining EDI, working and scaling the platform in house. This role sits 5x onsite in either Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, or Dublin, OH.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 3+ years in an EDI management role with support team
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following IT areas: software development, maintenance and support; IT solutions and business analysis; project management with experience directly managing and/or leading IT professionals
  • Client-facing customer service experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience

Nice to Have:

  • PMP Certification
  • Transportation/logistics industry experience
  • API Gateway experience (Preferably Apigee)
  • Service Now for ticketing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications
  • Tool: Previous experience using IBM Sterling B2Bi , SFG experience
  • Mulesoft, Cleo, dell boomi

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Oversee the implementation of new and existing trading partners in alignment with department targets, key performance indicators and service level agreements
  • Directly supervise local, remote and off-shore staff
  • Own EDI service level agreements including backlog management targets, delivery targets, response time targets, testing targets and system availability targets
  • Participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting tactical work with customers and internal business functions to resolve EDI challenges and escalations
  • Maintain accountability for overall quality of team's output, including diagnosing and correcting root process or procedural problems contributing to any quality issues
  • Identify, implement and manage process and tool enhancements to improve overall team delivery; responsible for direct oversight of staff, tactical execution and implementation of operational plans
  • Manage and lead EDI projects and setups including documentation, quality assurance, implementation support and workflow management
  • Stay updated with EDI standards, industry trends and emerging technologies, and propose new and innovative solutions to improve EDI processes and enhance data exchange capabilities
  • Prepare and present regular reports and updates to IT management, highlighting project status, key performance indicators and recommendations for improvement
  • Provide technical expertise and support to resolve complex EDI-related issues, and serve as an escalation point for EDI production support tickets
  • Research root cause and create resolutions for EDI errors, ultimately resulting in reduction of EDI errors over time
  • Participate in weekly architecture review calls to review and obtain approval on complex mapping enhancements.
