This a Remote opportunity. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.We offer competitive compensation and an extraordinary benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, 401K with company matching, flexible spending accounts, paid holidays, three weeks paid time off, and more.Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the IHS Modernized EHR system by combining program/project management skills with Oracle Health Cerner Millennium solutions expertise to facilitate successful EHR design and build efforts for assigned IHS clinical and/or business domain groups.Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:Project/Program Management:
  • Organize/facilitate one or more IHS domain groups by providing administrative support for group functions
  • Coordinate domain and cross-domain team meetings
  • Capture and document domain group discussions
  • Provide knowledge management support by maintaining domain group MS teams/SharePoint site
  • Document and track all domain group recommendations and decisions using the IHS-determined tracking system
  • Coordinates with multiple teams, including Organizational Change Management, engineering, and deployment teams, to ensure appropriate cross-team collaboration
  • Collaborates with the Program Management Operations team to support compliance with program governance processes
Health IT Analyst/ Oracle Health Solution support:
  • Expertise in Cerner Millenium PathNet - Blood Bank (required)
  • Provide advisement on best practices for the configuration of one or more Oracle Health Solutions
  • Research options for decision-making and prepare decision briefs to support assigned domains
  • Understand clinical and business workflows related to Blood Bank and recommend configuration options that align with best practice workflows
  • Evaluate potential configuration decisions/options for impact on system maintenance, regulatory requirements, data integrity, and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with IHS clinical and business end-users to facilitate efficient decision-making processes
  • Collaborate effectively with System Integrator/EHR Vendor teams to promote alignment to Vendor-defined best practices for system configuration and workflow
  • Participates in special projects as required
Qualifications:
  • Advanced Expertise in the Cerner Millennium Blood Bank solution (required)
  • Ability to handle demanding situations with clarity, focus, and professionalism and to respond quickly to quick turnaround taskers
  • Has the knowledge, skills, and proficiency to understand the purpose, features, functions, benefits, and limitations of clinical information systems
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Systems
  • Completion of at least one (preferably 2) full life-cycle Oracle Health (Cerner) EHR implementations
  • Knowledge of workflow development and documentation
  • Healthcare clinical and/or business functional experience preferred
  • Experience using MS Office 365 applications, including MS Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Participates in special projects as required
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree, equivalent, or higher in Informatics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related clinical/medical/business discipline (recommended)
  • 3 or more years of relevant healthcare experience in a clinical or business role in Laboratory/Blood Bank.
Working Environment & ConditionsThis job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
