Duties
As a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC - TITLE 32, WG-2610-12/13, you will perform maintenance on multi-complex electronic integrated systems. Complete operational checks, inspections, tests, trouble shooting, removal and replacement of Line Replaceable Units. Isolate malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, tools, and test equipment. Solve complex problems by analyzing installation, circuitry, and operating characteristics of the systems. Adjust and align system sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, transponders, actuators, servos, computers and other related components. Install serviceable components into aircraft and perform total systems alignment. Maintain, modify, calibrate and inspect user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment. Install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, align, and calibrate complete electronic avionics multi-systems control. Review and analyze maintenance data. Align, adjust, and perform final calibrations on integrated systems. Analyze equipment failure and malfunctions and suggest changes to improve operation. Troubleshoot operational malfunctions and analyze system performance utilizing aircrew debrief data, Technical Orders, schematic and wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, data analysis, test equipment and built in system tests. Perform equipment maintenance on systems. Test and troubleshoot solid state electronic assemblies and subassemblies. Recommend methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting malfunctions, initiate material deficiency reports, and assist in design changes. Conduct aircrew debriefing to determine the nature of malfunctions. Requisition supply assets and process repairable assets. Document man-hour expenditures and maintenance actions. Conduct training on assigned systems and related support equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.

RANK REQUIREMENT:

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
You must be assigned to a compatible military position.

This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
Must have the capability to lift, carry, push, or otherwise handle items weighing up to 70 pounds.
Must have the physical capability to stand, climb, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and stoop over extended periods of time.
Must possess a valid state driver's license to operate government motor vehicles in accordance with Air Force and Air National Guard Vehicle Operations Directives.
Must complete the hazmat certification within six months of employment and complete hazmat recertification every two years.
This position is developmental: Incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher grade upon completion of an Individual Development Plan (IDP), award of the compatible 7-skill level AFSC, meeting time in grade requirements, and recommendation for promotion by supervisor.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience that demonstrates the basic knowledge of electronic theories and practices to identify, isolate and repair malfunctions in integrated systems. Experience with relative principles such as digital and analog circuits, electro-mechanical devices, solid state devices, digital techniques, synchro/servo operation and integrated circuit theory. Experience interpreting and tracing schematics, logic and wiring diagrams and using a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 12 months experience installing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, calibrating, and rebuilding multi-system avionics complexes. Experience completing operational checks, inspections, tests, trouble shooting, removal and replacement of systems and components. Experience isolating malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, tools, and test equipment. Experience maintaining, modifying, calibrating, and inspecting user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment. Experience performing installations, modifications, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, aligning, and calibrating complete electronic avionics multi-system controls. Experience evaluating operational characteristics of integrated systems by observing and analyzing waveforms, voltage, current, power indications, computer registers and printouts. Experience analyzing malfunctions encountered through fault codes, determining repair sequence process and performing required repairs. Experience performing alignments, adjustments, and conducting calibrations on integrated systems.
FOR THE WG-13:
In addition to possessing the specialized experience listed above, applicants must have at least 12 months experience working as an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic (WG-2610-12).
