This position is a contract / direct hire_ opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Orlando, FL for a duration of greater than 6 months (expected to be long term).- 1st shift M-F 7am-330pmSummaryThe Electronic Technician II (FIRST SHIFT) will be responsible for troubleshooting and repair experience to component level on PCB/CCA assemblies (circuit cards).**** Good to Excellent solder skills requiredJob Description:Technicians are required to have troubleshooting and repair experience to component level on PCB/CCA assemblies (circuit cards).Good to Excellent solder skills requiredMANAGER NOTES:Not looking for avionics experience - I am not looking for anything but straight up electronics techs. - Interview will be one hour with panel, 30 minute electronics test, 30 minute general interview- must pass the electronics test and be a driven independent workerJOB DESCRIPTION:Troubleshoots and repairs electronic equipment to component level in accordance with FAA regulations and company IPM (Inspections Procedures Manual) Modifies equipment according to service bulletin and/or manufacturer documentation Carries out prescribed procedures according to an established schedule Receives training in the use of more specialized test instruments and learn advanced troubleshooting procedures Follows specific layout and schematic diagrams to repair and maintain simple or advanced devices or subunits of equipment and schematic diagrams such as power supplies, oscillators, amplifiers, etc.Review work orders to ensure customer requested activities have been complied with, prior to release of the repair Work is reviewed by lead technician, supervisors, and/or inspectors May work on alternative assignments with detailed written or oral instructions Completes quality and repair paper work, prepares estimates, and maintains maintenance documentation in accordance with current quality assurance requirements Communicates with cross-functional departments as required to support repair process Participates in Technician cross training programs and may be assigned to other teams for short or long term assignments Completes repairs in accordance with company ISO procedures and within company objectivesJob RequirementsMinimum Security Clearance: No Clearance Details: Qualified candidates would have the following:Capable of working flexible shifts including, nights, weekends and holidays Must be flexible and willing to work any area in Repair or Production, as necessary Must speak, read and write English fluently Regular attendance and punctuality is required Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the company culture and values Must be well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets company insurance standards Must pass a 7year background check and drug testPreferred QualificationsPrior military or commercial avionics level 3 component repair experience preferred FAA Repair Certificate a plus Able to meticulously document incoming product condition and maintenance activitiesPhysical DemandsModerate physical activity required by handling objects up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and/or up to twenty (20) pounds frequently. (Medium) Hand/finger fine motor skills and dexterity required to handle small parts and to operate hand tools.
