We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Electronic Systems Integrator within our Product Development capability. This position reports to the Director of Product Development - Electronics & Connectivity and will work in Elkhart, IN.As a passionate Electronic Systems Integrator in the Product Development team, you will work with many different groups and suppliers to deliver the electronics for RV climate systems. The role of this individual would be a technical lead for projects including defining technical behaviors and requirements to enable the development of common controls across the product portfolio. The position will be focusing on delivering solutions that exceed the expectations of manufacturers and ultimately, our end customers. This individual should be familiar with embedded electrical and communication systems and the software that drives them.General Responsibilities
  • Define and publish electronic control strategy and standards for climate systems.
  • Integrate electronic solutions for new products.
  • System-level design/cost/quality/time tradeoffs and technical decision making for electronic projects.
  • Work with engineers to generate and execute technical HW and SW design reviews.
  • Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality, and performance targets.
  • Drive system validation during concept, design, and product validation stages.
  • Drive electronic requirements and design failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Support team to define/identify system architectures: electrical, mechanical integration, and analysis.
  • Define the product's electrical interface system, manage configuration files, and configure it according to the product specifications.
  • Responsible for subsystem level design requirements, product descriptions, and DFMEA.
  • Define and manage interfaces to all sub-systems in compliance with the system solution, including harnesses.
  • Support definition and execution of system validation plans.
  • Work with agencies for certification and ensure traceability to verification.
  • Take ownership of tech concepts, solutions, risks/mitigation plans, and support the organization for the creation of cost estimates on proposals.
  • Provide timely and objective communications up, across, and down the organization.
  • Evaluate the impact and risk on decisions made.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in Electronic Systems Integration. Additionally, they will have the following desired skills and characteristics:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, systems, computer, aerospace, mechanical, or software engineering.
  • 5+ years professional experience in embedded systems, hardware or software design.
  • Experience with consumer or automotive networks like various wireless, TCT/IP, Ethernet, CAN and/or LIN.
  • Understanding of agency requirements such as IEC, CDA or ISO.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and convey complex technical information.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive and innovative approach to overcoming challenges.
