Job Description:
As an Electronic Technician Maintenance II, you will play a key role in supporting range systems, maintaining advanced electronic equipment, and performing tests in various environments. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of systems, from acoustic tracking devices to unmanned underwater vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain electronic, acoustic, video, mechanical, and electro-hydraulic range systems.
- Conduct equipment maintenance and system upgrades monthly, including backup and restoration of system software.
- Perform maintenance logs, trend analysis, and update databases related to range systems.
- Provide technical support for shipboard simulations, fleet validation/verification, and recovery systems.
- Analyze failures, prepare Failure Analysis Reports, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in the design, development, and fabrication of equipment under development for USW Test, Training, and Evaluation.
- Support environmental and functional tests using furnished test instructions.
- Work closely with engineers to troubleshoot test items and perform failure analysis on test sets.
- Escort and handle classified information between government facilities.
Key Equipment Support Areas:
- Setup, installation, maintenance, and removal of test equipment including:
- Vibration systems: Electro-dynamic, 3-axis, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Climatic chambers: Temperature/humidity/altitude and thermal stress chambers.
- Shock & Acceleration equipment: Free-fall shock systems, rate and positioning tables.
- Acoustic testing: Perform acoustic and functional tests on various materials.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic repair, soldering, or a related technical field.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in electronic repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with mechanical, electro-hydraulic, and communication systems.
- Experience using databases for test tracking and analysis.
- Ability to follow test procedures and technical instructions.
Security Clearance: Must possess a Secret Clearance.
Competitive Pay: $32.01 per hour + $4.54 per hour for Health and Welfare benefits
