Job DetailsJob LocationHeadquarters - Largo, FLPosition TypeFull TimeEducation Level2 Year DegreeJob ShiftDayJob CategoryEngineeringDescriptionJob Summary: The Electronic Test Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems in our manufacturing environment, managing high-speed test fixtures used in the product assembly line, and testing Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs). This role is vital to ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our production processes.Key Responsibilities:Electrical System Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Implement improvements to enhance the reliability and performance of electrical systems.
High-Speed Test Fixture Management:
- Retrieve, set up, maintain, troubleshoot, and store high-speed test fixtures used for product testing on the assembly line.
- Ensure all test fixtures are calibrated and functioning correctly to meet quality standards.
- Develop and implement procedures for the efficient handling and maintenance of test fixtures.
- Work closely with the production team to schedule and coordinate the use of test fixtures.
RMA Testing:
- Test and diagnose returned merchandise (RMAs) to determine the root cause of failures.
- Document test results and communicate findings to relevant departments.
- Implement corrective actions based on RMA testing outcomes to improve product quality and reduce future returns.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address production challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, test fixture management, and RMA testing.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare and update documentation related to electrical systems, test fixtures, and RMA processes.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and training to production staff regarding electrical systems, test fixtures, and RMA testing.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new electrical systems and upgrades.
- Support new product introductions by developing and validating test methods and fixtures.
QualificationsEducation & Experience:
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on electrical systems.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience with high-speed test fixtures and product testing.
- Experience with RMA testing and root cause analysis.
- Proficient in the use of electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
