Job Description:
Job Purpose:BTIG seeks a self-sufficient, driven server-side developer to join our New York City development team. The candidate should have a solid grasp of advanced technologies and programming. Key responsibilities include managing the development and testing of innovative features for complexsoftware applications, overseeing the daily operations of production systems, and conducting both proactive and reactive maintenance. This position provides a unique chance to explore the intersection of trading and technology in the global financial market and to play a pivotal role in the expansion of our premier Electronic Trading platform.Duties & Responsibilities:* Spearhead the development and upkeep of new functionalities for BTIG's Electronic Trading platform.* Apply a strong technical foundation to design, develop, and deploy distributed software solutions.* Develop and maintain our proprietary, low-latency negotiation protocols, systems, and infrastructures.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test trading strategies and infrastructures.* Optimize the scalability, performance, and efficiency of a wide array of active trading strategies.Requirements & Qualifications:* Bachelor Degree in Mathematics or Computer Science required* 2-5 years of experience in Electronic Trading preferred* Mastery of C# programming including OOP, templates, design patterns, and data structures.* Proficiency in managing system stability and scalability.* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution.* Independence in work, coupled with a strong inclination towards automation and optimization.* Outstanding communication skills and the ability to thrive as part of a team.* Proficiency in exchange connectivity, FIX protocol, and market data handlers.* Experience in developing algo trading strategies.* Knowledge of financial trading and equities microstructure is advantageous.* Previous experience with KDB/Q is beneficial.* BTIG offers competitive compensation and is required by law to include an estimate of the salary range for each role. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.* The current base salary range for this role is $150,000-225,000k per year.
