Job Description:

Odyssey Technical Solutions is a state of the art Repair Facility located in Round Rock, Texas that specializes in the repair of RF Generators, AutoMatch Networks, DC Power Supplies, Remote Plasma Systems, and Microwave Generators/Power Supplies. We moved into our new Round Rock Headquarters July 2016 and celebrated our 24th anniversary in August 2024.

Ideal candidates:

Communicates and listens effectively in a professional and courteous manner. • Good attention to detail and organizational skills (work neatly.) • Manually install electronic/mechanical components and jumper wires according to knowledge of unit being assembled by following written directions and/or drawings and/or schematics. • Create soldered connections to applicable quality standards. Utilizes small hand tools for positioning parts to assist in assembly operation, stripping wire, forming leads, etc. • Work in compliance with IPC, OSHA and MSDS safety policies. • Ability to solve minor problems and recognize bigger problems that require supervisor assistance.

Job Description:

Assembles products, such as electronic assemblies, and/or pc boards, partially or completely, by performing the following general assembly duties: Must be able to read and follow Build Procedures, Build Sheets, and Travelers • Must be able to interpret and understand BOMs, schematics, and drawings • Must be able to follow other internal procedures and inventory systems as necessary. • Must be able to use general material handling equipment such as forklifts and other non-specific equipment. •Must emphasize quality of work and demonstrate workmanship in skills such as soldering, hardware use, etc. • Other non-specific duties and responsibilities a supervisor may require of the employee.

Qualifications / Education / Experience:

•High school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates currently pursuing a 2 year (or higher) technical degree will be given special consideration • Good eye/hand coordination (can work with small parts and assemblies.) • Knowledge of component identification is required. Individuals must pass the IPC basic soldering class to retain their job. • Ability to read and speak English fluently. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
