Title: Electronics Design Engineer

Salary: $78,000 - $120,000 + Relocation Package
JOB DESCRIPTION
-Design electronic circuitry for use in industrial applications including motor drives
-Collaborate with cross-functional design and development teams, both inside and outside of the business unit
-Work with suppliers and manufacturing sites to assure a successful end product
-Investigate industry trends and adopt new technology
-Generate and execute new product technical specifications, designs and test plans
-Assist in determining project timelines and resources to support the business unit's long-term vision
-Influence mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing design requirements
-Vary on where they are at in projects; if they are working on a new product development; new components or parts schematics to create new circuits or new designs team also is responsible for sustaining work on the projects working with manufacturing If there is issues
-Product Life Cycle: Electronic development 18 months between the research and design and development and the bringing up to the product then we go through certifications where it is a year of test points going through certifications and working through those
-Could be working with Multiple Products within our product line at once; within the same product families at once: Making sure they have some experience in Industrial electronics; is important it is a different skillset/ expectations
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
-2-5 years relevant experience
-New Product Design Schematics is number one: lay out design, new product design and bring up kind of work.
-Someone with the skills we would be fine with heads down; some interacting with vendors and manufacturers (would require a little bit of soft skills) go back and forth with troubleshooting
-Fundamental knowledge of analog and digital electronic components and their application in industrial products
-Design, analysis, and optimization of industrial electronics for performance, cost and manufacturability
-Knowledge of various communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485, RS232, BLE, HART
-Experience with electrical engineering tools; Simulation (P-SPICE or LT-SPICE), Oscilloscopes, function generators
-Motivated self-starter, initiative driven, and able to deal with ambiguity
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry
-Basic understanding of embedded development
-Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes a plus
-Design/testing experience for EMC, CE/ATEX, CSA a plus
-Control valve business knowledge and experience
-Experience with sensors and industrial electronics
-Experience with sensor technologies, integration, power management, and communications protocols
-Military or industrial embedded board work or medical device
