SummaryMaintains, repairs and troubleshoots systems to maintain Operational Availability for the USMC. The Electronic Maintenance Technician II applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems.The pay rate for this position is $29.24/hour + $4.57/hour H&W.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices.
  • Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions and repairing equipment to its normal operation.
  • Implements quality control and review procedures throughout maintenance and reporting requirements.
  • Applies skill in restoring equipment operation and evaluating system performance
  • Documents all maintenance actions by inputting data in the Management Information System.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair actions on various training systems and components.
  • Complete maintenance records, logbooks, and inventories.
  • Shall be proficient with current and future versions of simulation operating software and hardware fielded to the Mission Training Complex.
SupervisionNoneMinimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, supplemented by appropriate trade school training
  • 3(+) years experience in the field of electronics, electronic security systems, electricity or similar activity, sufficient to provide a broad technical knowledge of electronics equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of USMC standards used in the performance of maintenance actions.
  • Technical ability to troubleshoot failures down to discreet component level by applying knowledge in electronics and logical fault diagnostic abilities.
  • Familiar with Microsoft office software operation and use.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Valid Drivers license.
  • Must be a disciplined worker capable of meeting short suspense.
  • Must be able to support shifts that occur outside normal working hours to support 24/7 operations during exercise events that may be in excess of 40 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of two year or four year electronic technician resident course at an accredited technical school or university or equivalent military education and experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures
