Semiconductor Manufacturing OperatorJob DescriptionThis manufacturing position involves operating semiconductor-processing equipment in a cleanroom environment. The manufacturing operator is responsible for meeting daily production goals in support of cleanroom fabrication operations. The areas of concentration include photolithography, pattern transfer via wet and dry etching techniques, substrate cleaning via wet chemistry, metrology, and other semiconductor processes.ResponsibilitiesOperate manually- or computer-controlled equipment to meet production and quality goals.Set up and operate complex manual and computer-controlled equipment.Work constructively with other team members to process wafers and optical components.Utilize computer software to track operational performance and make minor corrections to improve productivity.Follow quality management procedures and identify quality issues.Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Multitask to perform other required duties as assigned by a supervisor.Essential SkillsMicroscope experience.Electronics assembly.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Ability to learn and operate complex manual and computer-controlled equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh-school diploma or GED.Previous manufacturing experience in a cleanroom environment is preferred.Computer literacy and willingness to learn.Manual dexterity and ability to perform light lifting and carrying duties.Ability to sit and/or stand for an extended period of time (3-5 hours).Work EnvironmentDuties are performed in a cleanroom environment which requires personnel to wear special garments including cleanroom suits, hoods, shoe covers, and gloves. Employees will periodically handle up to 1 gallon of chemicals (acid/base/solvents) while wearing personal protective equipment. Shifts are 6am-6pm/6pm-6am with guaranteed 8 hours of overtime pay every other week. Breaks include three 30-minute intervals, with the option to combine breaks for a longer lunch.
