Electronics Stockroom Coordinator

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an opening in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering for an Electronics Stockroom Coordinator. We have been ranked No. 1 among U.S. engineering colleges by the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Guide for the last 25 consecutive years.

As the Electronics Stockroom Coordinator, you determine specifications of needed materials, parts, and supplies in consultation with faculty, staff, and students; procure instructional materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with purchasing guidelines; maintain and manage inventory of parts, instructional kits, and equipment appropriate to support teaching laboratory activity needs. You will help students navigate challenging projects and help faculty solve problems encountered in research and teaching.

Additionally, you will manage student worker hiring; assign work to and direct student workers, and track and approve student worker time. You will supervise student workers who assist students at the stockroom window and help you to develop laboratory materials and kits.

You will help to manage all equipment and facilities associated with labs. You will provide and maintain a safe work environment by participating in safety programs, committees, or teams and by conducting laboratory safety audits. You will monitor inventory of materials, parts and supplies.

Qualified candidates will have an associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one to two years related professional work experience.

Preferred candidates will have experience with electronics and PCB manufacturing, soldering, debugging electronic systems, basic programming, and inventory management. Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills; ability to work independently.
