The Electronic Systems Segment (ESS) provides a broad range of aerospace systems, security and detection systems, and pilot training. Job Summary As an employer of choice, FOS is in search of an Electronic Technician who will assume the responsibility of performing a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical or optical areas. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. This must include use of manual and automated equipment ( volt-amp meters, multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal test generators, power supplies, counters, etc .) to perform test and quality assurance operations. Knowledge of computerized test equipment, including hands-on experience is required. The Electronics Technician IV will work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions, as well as from other sources. The Electronics Technician IV will assist with environmental testing and accurately record test data. Job Duties
  • Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of production assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards and sequences.
  • Record test data, maintain test data file system, shop routing documentation and accept/reject data for production & some engineering units.
  • Perform root-cause-failure analysis.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, tests and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments, devices or systems as needed.
  • Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.
  • Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, drawings and requirements.
  • Assembles and performs limited internal analytical testing of small to medium units of average complexity, component assemblies, and small systems or assembles complete major systems and complex and unique electromechanical units.

  • Must be eligible to qualify and obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance, if required upon employment with L3Harris or in the future as an L3Harris employee.
  • Electronics Technician Associates Degree or equivalent Associates Degree or equivalent Electronics Technician training or equivalent military Electronics Technician training.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience related to testing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuits and electronic components.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with the use of manual and automated test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal test generators, power supplies, counters, etc.).
  • Must have working knowledge (formal training and practical experience) reading, interpreting, and using engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, specification documents, and electronic schematics to perform work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance or higher.
  • Proficient using spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and other RF test equipment.
  • IPC Solder Certification.
  • Experience working in the Defense Industry.
  • Experience working in Electronics Manufacturing.
