Bradley Professional is currently seeking and Electronics Technician for a great company located in High Point, NC
Our client is in need of a skilled, problem-solving individual specializing in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electronic devices/systems. A qualified candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of electronic circuits, components and equipment using various tools, instruments, and software to diagnose issues, identify defects and ensure the systems function optimally.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Setting up and calibrating electronic systems by following schematics and diagrams
- Responding to machine breakdowns and troubleshooting problems with electronics, electrical circuits and making necessary repairs
- Ability to diagnose machine networks, programmable logic controls, computer controls and their peripheral components.
- Recognizing when components or systems become obsolete and require upgrades or total replacement.
- Conducting service checks and performing routine maintenance to keep electronics functioning properly.
- Must be able to diagnose, program and replace AC, DC, and servo vatiable frequency drives. This includes a working knowledge of encoders and resolvers which may be part of a drive system.
- Experience with contactors, overloads, relays and pneumatic solenoids.
- Good understanding of 480 volt and 220 volt power systems.
- Must possess good computer skills.
- Communicate with operators to understand problems and provide solutions and progress updates.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts needed to make repairs and complete maintenance of components and/or systems.
- Maintain logs that provide dates and details of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations, including lock out/ tag out procedures.
Education/Experience
An associate degree in electronic technology is desired. However, someone with several years of experience working hands on with electronics will be considered as well.
