SPED Elementary School Teacher Needed For Co Teach Position In Philadelphia PA Charter School Philadelphia, PA 19104 Posted: 09/28/2024 Disciplines: Teacher Job Number: 58172 Job Description INVO is seeking a dedicated is seeking a passionate and collaborative First Grade Co-Teacher to join our dedicated team. The Co-Teacher will work alongside a lead teacher to deliver engaging and effective instruction, ensuring that each student reaches their fullest potential. This role is ideal for educators who are committed to fostering a love of learning in young children and are comfortable working in a team-teaching model. Key Responsibilities: Instructional Support: Co-plan and co-teach lessons that are aligned with the school's curriculum and academic standards. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in the classroom, including students with special needs and English Language Learners. Create and maintain a classroom environment that promotes active student engagement and a positive culture. Utilize various teaching strategies and technology to enhance learning experiences. Classroom Management: Assist in maintaining a well-organized, safe, and respectful learning environment. Implement classroom management strategies that support positive behavior and student accountability. Work closely with the lead teacher to address student behavior issues in a consistent, effective manner. Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress through both formal and informal assessments. Provide feedback and input into student evaluations and report cards. Support the development of individualized learning plans for students as needed. Collaboration & Communication: Participate in regular planning and debriefing meetings with the lead teacher to ensure effective coordination and alignment of teaching practices. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and the school community regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities. Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and administration to support school-wide initiatives and events. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities provided by the school. Seek out additional learning experiences to improve instructional practices and student outcomes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (required). Pennsylvania State Teaching Certification (or eligibility for certification) in Elementary Education preferred. Prior experience working with elementary-aged children, ideally in a co-teaching or team-teaching setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
