Location: Intiwasi Spanish Immersion IB School, About Us: Intiwasi is a Spanish language dual immersion school dedicated to providing a bilingual and multicultural educational experience. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Primary School Teacher with a background in elementary education to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and experience teaching in a dual-language environment. This role requires creating a supportive and academically rigorous learning environment aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and California elementary education standards. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons in both Spanish and English that align with the IB PYP framework and elementary-level educational standards. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of students. Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of assessment tools to inform instruction and provide feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and integrated dual immersion program. Maintain open communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress. Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in dual-language and elementary education. Contribute to the broader school community by participating in school events and extracurricular activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field. Experience teaching in an elementary school setting, preferably in a dual-language or immersion program. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to foster a positive learning environment and manage a diverse classroom. Commitment to professional growth and development. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an IB school environment or familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Experience working with Singapore Math and FOSS science system.
