Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is On-Site at the location detailed in the job post.This is a full-time, exempt position.Position Summary:Supervising the daily activities of the Meal Loadout and Bean Receiving Department and assisting in the other areas of the plant, as needed. This includes loading/unloading, sampling, transferring, blending, safety, quality and storage of goods. Maintain a safe, sanitary workplace in compliance with company policies and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT, etc.). Will be responsible to train and lead hourly colleagues in operations, safety and maintaining facilities. Perform special assignments, initiating improvements to most effectively meet operation objectives. As a member of management, you are expected to set a model safety example by following and enforcing all safety practices. This includes looking for, reporting, and correcting safety hazards and poor practices during daily rounds.Job Responsibilities:Display a dedication to lead, participate, and support all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations applicable to the position.Be responsible for the daily plant operations, which include safety and environmental compliance, food safety, quality control, production, cost optimization and efficiencies.Responsible for ensuring accurate cleaning and sanitation between runs.Maintain good working relationships with all employees.Must have a complete understanding of how all departments work and their interrelationship within the facility.Supervise, review, and suggest/direct initiatives for continuous improvement in all areas of the plant.Review employee performance and assist in employee development, including Performance Excellence integration with job duties.Observes equipment throughout plants and report concerns to Superintendent.Give positive and constructive feedback on a routine basis to all employees.Assist with daily production records as needed.Perform other related duties as assigned.Flexibility to work any shift required, including weekends and holidays as applicable.Flexibility and welcoming of changes in work routine.Ability to direct others, make timely decisions, and complete safety and work permits, as well as production logs.Results driven to provide support to achieve the goals established by management.Ability to analyze information quickly to provide feedback in the manufacturing process and troubleshoot equipment failures.Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesJob Qualifications:Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.Must be able to read/write/speak English, must be able to do basic arithmetic and write clearly.Ability to navigate and utilize Windows based computer software/programs.Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties.Capability of working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and ability to wear a respiratorPrior work related and leadership experiences preferredExcited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed?
