Job Description Elevator Superintendent - Lincoln, NEThis a salaried, exempt-level position.POSITION SUMMARY:The Grain Elevator Superintendent position entails the coordination of day-to-day activities of a designated grain elevator. This includes the oversight of grain inventory/handling, grain quality/conditioning, elevator equipment, housekeeping, maintenance, and the loading/unloading of rail cars/grain trucks.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Adhere to all ADM safety policies and procedures in compliance with Company and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DNT, DOT, ect.)Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture; understand and follow company safety proceduresResponsible for direct employee managementOversee and provide direction, guidance, feedback, mentoring, and coaching to all direct reportsResponsible for Timecard management for all direct reportsOperate rail/truck unloading and loading operationsUnder the direction of the area manager, maintain and coordinate preventative maintenance programsMeet regularly with Ops Manager to communicate operationsTrack and document grain quality on established scheduleEnsure no commingling of grainKeep facility and grounds clean by following established housekeeping scheduleAdhere to computerized preventative maintenance programMechanical, electrical, leadership and safety/regulatory compliancePerform physical grain inventory on established schedulesOperate snow removal equipment and ensure facility is accessible for employees and customers prior to opening business hoursAssist customers as needed (directions, open hoppers, etc.)Dump trucks at pitsConduct general maintenance and clean up at facility as neededCommunicate effectively with Ops Manager and co-workersPractice proper PPE and abide by all safety regulations (lockout/tag out, permits, fall protection, etc.)POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in grain operations or a combination of education and experienceMust be able to legally work in the United StatesEnglish Proficiency2-3 years' experience developing a teamKnowledge of agriculture or farming background and mechanical equipmentTroubleshooting/problem solving experienceComputer proficiencyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, and report writingAbility to train othersExceptional customer serviceAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours as neededPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.
