Job Description Trans Ova Genetics is seeking an Embryo Transfer Field Trainer to join our industry leading team! In this opportunity, you would be responsible for providing embryo transfer training and support to A.I. breeders on location at dairies across the U.S. In addition, this role would support the Trans Ova Genetics University Technician Professor by providing embryo transfer training and support to newly hired Professional Services Technicians. Our ideal candidate would be located in the Central/Western US with comfortability of extensive travel up to 75%. This ideal candidate would also be fluent in both English and Spanish with a strong passion for training and educating others. This position would require proficient abilities to not only preform but train on advanced reproductive technologies such as A.I., bovine embryo transfer, ultrasonography, and evaluation of pregnancy status by hand. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct training sessions with A.I. breeders on-site at dairies across the U.S. and internationally.
  • Develop training materials and resources that are relevant and engaging for A.I. breeders and internal technicians, using a range of training methods, including classroom-based instruction, and hands-on activities.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Professional Services Technicians and TOGU PST Professor to develop and implement training programs that align with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and adjust as needed to ensure that breeders and internal technicians are receiving the most effective training possible
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to breeders and internal technicians to help them continue to improve their skills and performance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in training and development and incorporate these into our training programs.
  • Troubleshoot poor transfer results and audit embryo transfer programs as needed.
  • Maintains a professional image reflective of Trans Ova's industry position.
  • Follows Trans Ova's policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field or foreign degree equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience in training and development, preferably in a field training role
Position Requirements:
  • Ability to deliver engaging and practical training sessions using a range of training methods and techniques.
  • Must have at least three years of experience managing a reproductive program on a dairy farm. Experience should include running diverse synchronization protocols, heat detection, A.I., bovine embryo transfer, and evaluation of pregnancy status by hand and using ultrasonography.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to different locations to conduct training sessions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work alongside and in the production teams' environments.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods. Ability to bend from the waist for long periods.
  • Frequent travel to assigned accounts farm locations (~75%).
Other skills/experience:
  • Knowledge of the bovine industry and bovine reproduction is required.
  • Conception rate of over 45% on 3,000 dairy embryo transfers.
  • Ability to speak and write in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Dairy Comp and BoviSync.
  • In-depth knowledge of Trans Ova Genetics services is required.
  • High degree of professionalism-integrity.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
