Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Emergency Medical Care Program at Eastern Kentucky University is now accepting applications for the position of EMC Lab & Simulation Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for management of EMC's labs, including the skills lab, simulation lab, and CPR lab, including maintenance of program capital equipment such as A/V technology, vehicles, low/mid/hi fidelity manikins, and durable EMS items. They will also serve as the clinical coordinator ensuring compliance with CoAEMSP and the NREMT Student Minimum Competency requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience:
Licensure & Certifications: Current NREMT and/or Kentucky Paramedic licensure (Must obtain Kentucky paramedic licensure within six months of starting this position
* KBEMS Paramedic Instructor Endorsement
* PALS Instructor (Must obtain within six months of starting this position.)
* ACLS Instructor (Must obtain within six months of starting this position.)
* Experience with high and mid-fidelity simulation preferrable.

* 20% - Performs or Ensures Routine Maintenance, Repair and Up-grade of all Equipment in all EMC programs Laboratory's and classroom settings. - (Essential)
* 20% - Coordinate with EMC (FPPS) Faculty, Student Organizations, Outside Groups, or others, for the use of EMC Program Facilities, Labs and Equipment. - (Essential)
* 20% - Ensure Timely Set Up of FSE program Class Related Labs; Supervise and manage any Student Employees in the Lab to Support Hands on Activities of the EMC Programs. - (Essential)
* 20% - Assist in the delivery of hands-on lab and teaching sessions as requested by the EMC faculty. - (Essential)
* 20% - Ensures compliance with CoAEMSP and the NREMT Student Minimum Competency requirements. Coordinate Student placement with agency for skills development verification. - (Essential)
