Emergency Department Care Assistant

Summary In accordance with established standards, assists with clinical and patient care activities in the Emergency Department under the direction of a licensed nurse. Minimum Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

Must possess at least one of the following:

Completion of a health related educational program focused on the delivery of direct patient care.

Three months of experience in a clinical setting delivering direct patient care.

Six months of experience providing in-person customer service.

Ability to lift and transport patients of various weights and ages.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior work experience in a hospital or clinical environment.

A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
