This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact within a dynamic organization.Position Overview:The Emergency Department Director provides clinical and administrative leadership in emergency medicine, overseeing the implementation of organizational vision, mission, and standards for nursing services.Compensation:Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $100,000 to $130,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and participate in the development of nursing and organizational policies and decisions.
  • Ensure accountability for the quality of services provided.
  • Supervise and guide personnel, including performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate nursing services with other healthcare disciplines.
  • Assist in recruiting, selecting, and retaining staff.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and ensure appropriate training and professional development.
  • Develop and oversee budgets for designated areas.
  • Engage in evaluative research and foster educational opportunities for nursing students.
  • Oversee the hospital trauma program and ensure compliance with state trauma designation requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, guidelines, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, or an Associate Degree in Nursing with equivalent competencies and enrollment in a Bachelor's program.
  • Master's degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Proficient in maintaining records and reporting issues.
  • Knowledge of emergency nursing and pre-hospital care practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle a diverse workload.
  • Proficiency in Word Processing, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Capable of making decisive judgments under pressure and analyzing data.
