Emergency Department Nurse (RN), UHS Wilson Medical CenterUnited Health Services is seeking a Emergency Department Nurse (RN) to join our Main Tower Emergency Department department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.ShiftRotationalHours Per Week: 40Salary Range: $37.45 - $59.38 per hour, depending on experience.Overview**Day & Night shifts available Sign-on Bonus up to $25,000**United Health Services is seeking adaptable, experienced RNs to join our Emergency department at UHS Wilson Medical Center located in Johnson City, NY.Our department currently has 48 beds with a 1-4 nurse-to-patient ratio. We are a level II trauma center and the only trauma center in the region. As a nurse in this acute care Emergency department, you will receive many transfers from other surrounding hospitals. This will include NICU patients, as well as stroke, cath lab, neurology, and additional acute care patients. While direct Emergency nursing experience is not required to join our team, we are looking for nurses who are experienced in a hospital setting. Nurses with experience in acute care, telemetry, or med surg are encouraged to apply.Our team is very excited to move into the new Wilson Main Tower starting in Spring 2024! This new, state-of-the-art facility is a six-story, 183,000-square-foot clinical tower on the UHS Wilson Medical Center campus.QualificationsAs a part of our team, you will care for a variety of complex patients. This will require you to constantly be open to learning and growing throughout your career as an emergency nurse. Being assertive, adaptable, and not afraid to ask questions are key qualities that will help you provide the most successful care to your patients. Working closely with your team, including our Providers is also essential. We work hand in hand and have a very trusting and respectful relationship.Your orientation period is completely tailored to your experience and comfort with your training. We will work closely with you to bridge any gaps and ensure that you are able to provide the best possible care to your patients. Your orientation period will begin with you working 8-hour shifts with your preceptor and you will have regular check-ins with our nurse educator. After your orientation period, you will transition to a 12-hour shift schedule. All of our ED RNs work 12-hour shifts and every third weekend.
