Ready to build your career in healthcare? We are looking for Emergency First Responders to add to our team. This is a great opportunity for a person looking for patient care experience in preparation for work in any healthcare field! Working with a licensed EMT, you will transport patients to hospitals, medical appointments, rehabilitation centers, and other destinations. We have openings at bases in Arlington, Medford, Stoneham, Woburn, Waltham, Brighton, and Saugus.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Completes vehicle and equipment checklists; maintains ambulance and equipment according to company cleanliness standards, and sees that vehicle and associated equipment are in good working order; ensures ambulance is appropriately stocked.
  • Washes vehicles at the end of each shift.
  • Operate the vehicle in accordance with any and all applicable laws, rules, and company policies. Navigate by road maps, directions, etc.
  • Properly load, secure, and transport patients in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Communicates with partner, patient, patient's family, others at the scene and at the hospital in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Completes and assists in the completion of necessary patient and company paperwork in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned by supervisory personnel or management.

QUALIFICATIONS:Employee must have and maintain the following:
  • Candidate will hold a High School Diploma or equivalent degree, or equivalent job experience; enrollment in an EMT school/program preferred
  • Required to have a valid driver's license
  • Required to have or obtain a CPR certification
  • Must have a satisfactory background check and motor vehicle record
  • Must complete a vehicle driver safety program
  • Must be able to safely don and doff personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be caring and compassionate and have a desire to help others
  • Performs all duties in a safe, courteous, confidential and professional manner, always taking into account the well-being of the patient
  • Maintains a positive and professional image by being well groomed and properly attired at all times
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to restock, reorganize, clean, and decontaminate vehicles
