Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates all systems and processes required for Emergency Management for the campus, including the satellites to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (including Joint Commission and CMS) and state and federal laws. Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the four phases of Emergency Management, including mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery plans for CMC/DHK. This is an all-hazard emergency operations plan, including functional and incident specific guides, appropriately evaluating and updating all plans on a regular basis in accordance with regulatory requirements. Plans, develops, implements and evaluates emergency drills and exercises (tabletop, functional, actual events), including exercises and drills related to all ages, infant to adult, special needs populations, and at least one drill annually that demonstrates movement of patients. Coordinates and oversees all campus and satellite activities related to Emergency Management.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Emergency Management, Public Safety, Public Administration or a related field preferred. At lease one year of disaster and emergency planning experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) certification preferred; demonstration of completion of FEMA Indicident Command System training required, must be completed within 90 days of hire.
