This position will represent the hospital at the Regional EMS council meeting, and other community events involving emergency care and disaster response. It is the responsibility of this position to improve the reputation of the hospital to EMS, Fire, & Police, by building stronger relationships and improved communication with both volunteer and professional first responder agencies.The primary focus of the EMS Liaison is building and maintaining relationships with EMS/Fire/Police/Transport agencies that interact or have the potential to interact with the hospital. In this capacity, this role serves as a liaison between the Emergency Department and local EMS/Fire and Transport agency employees who routinely interact with the hospital, while also seeking to develop relationships and business partnerships with new agencies. The EMS Liaison is also responsible for providing continuing educational opportunities for EMS personnel per established guidelines.
