Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate EMT to join our client's team as a Front Desk and Triage Specialist. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and their families, ensuring a welcoming environment while providing essential triage support. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality care efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk Operations:

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere.
  • Manage incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Schedule patient appointments and assist with registration processes.
  • Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy in records.
  • Handle billing inquiries and process payments.

Triage Duties:

  • Conduct initial assessments of patients to determine urgency and need for care.
  • Gather vital signs and medical history, documenting information accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to prioritize patient care based on triage protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding wait times and treatment processes.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain organized and confidential patient records.
  • Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Support clinical staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Valid EMT certification.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
  • Lives local or willing to relocate.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
