Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in rural hospital settings.
- Collaborate with Physicians and nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Conduct patient assessments, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results.
- Administer medications and perform necessary procedures as required.
- Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
- Participate in emergency response drills and promote a culture of safety and preparedness.
- Engage with patients and their families to provide education and support regarding health management.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies with a focus on Emergency Medicine.
- Active state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- At least 2 years of experience in an emergency medicine or critical care setting preferred.
- Current ACLS and BLS certification is required; PALS certification is a plus.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
