*Job Overview*: Workfit Medical is seeking a skilled and compassionate *TRAVEL* Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Medicine team in the Greater Buffalo area. If you are looking to get started quickly on a 8-13 week assignment * up to $2500/week * Overtime potential * Quick start * Evenings/Nights *Key Responsibilities*: * Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. * Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and severity of illness or injury. * Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders. * Monitor and evaluate patient progress, documenting care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). * Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. * Assist in emergency interventions, including CPR, advanced airway management, and trauma care. * Educate patients and their families on care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions. * Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in the Emergency Department. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to stay current with best practices in emergency nursing. *Qualifications*: * Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York. * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered. * Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in emergency or critical care nursing preferred. * BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required. * PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) * Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. * Ability to work in a high-stress environment while maintaining composure and providing compassionate care. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.*About the Greater Buffalo Area*: The Greater Buffalo area is known for its vibrant community, cultural attractions, and access to beautiful natural surroundings, including nearby Niagara Falls and Lake Erie.
