Quick Facts:
- The Emergency Operations Coordinator position will develop, implement, guide, train and maintain all facets of emergency management of the numerous Eisner Health sites located throughout, Southern California.
- This includes the knowledge, understanding and ability to execute, all emergency operations planning, procedures and execution in direct relation to all Federal, State and local laws, ordinances, and requirements.
- The nature of this position requires an individual who can successfully interface with State, County and City entities, and their representatives, that manage area-wide disaster preparedness drills and excercises. It also requires participation in local Disaster Resource Center activities that directly coordinate the execution of recovery plans around Eisner Health sites.
- The role of the Emergency Operations Coordinator will also directly interface with all levels of Eisner Health staff to insure that all required, and requested training, both on-line and in-person, is completed in a timely manner. Membership and participation in Eisner Health Board of Directors related committees is required.
- Finally, the management of the Emergency Operations Manual, including additional materials and updates to existing materials, is completed yearly and presented to the Eisner Health Board of Directors for review and signature.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience: At least two years of professional experience in emergency management, emergency preparedness, disaster response, or public education programs
- Skills: Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, research, and communication skills
- Computer skills: Strong computer and information technology skills
- Education preferred, not required: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as emergency management, public health, public administration, or business
