Job Summary

Assist with the development, maintenance and exercising of the Institute's emergency plans, including the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and its annexes, building emergency plans, and venue emergency plans. Support the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) when activated. Assist with various emergency preparedness training, classes, and initiatives within the campus community. Assist with the activation, training and maintenance of the campus emergency notification systems. This position will interact on a regular basis with: The Georgia Tech Police Department's Emergency Management team on a consistent basis to include the Director of Emergency Management and Emergency Preparedness Project Manager.Assistant Director of Emergency Management. This position typically will advise and counsel: Campus partners responsible for emergency planning for their respective divisions and buildings. This position will supervise: NA

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Develop, maintain and exercise building and venue-level emergency plans through regular coordination with building/facility managers. Job Duty 2 - Assist with the activation, training and maintenance of the campus emergency notification system. Job Duty 3 - Assist with the development, maintenance and exercising of the campus Emergency Ope rations Plan (EOP), the EOPs annexes and appendices. Job Duty 4 - Assist with emergency preparedness activities within the campus community to include teaching classes, facilitating exercises and similar initiatives to promote preparedness. Job Duty 5 - Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Required Experience Four years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience Three years of experience in a university environment

Proposed Salary

Salary Range: $55,872 - $73,106/Annually (Depending on experience)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; excellent interpersonal skills. Must have a history of excellent written and verbal communication skills on various platforms.
