We offer training in-house to help you succeed in becoming a dispatcher. Must have a high school education or equivalent and no criminal convictions. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license. Essential qualities for a 911 Dispatcher include active listening skills, multi-tasking, good written and verbal communication. Dispatchers need to demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency while remaining calm. Under supervision, this job requires the Dispatcher to operate a radio and computer equipment, while processing phone calls and radio traffic.
