Emergency Services Technician I/II/III - Per DiemSummary:The Emergency Services Technician (EST) plays a crucial role in providing essential support to the healthcare team within the Emergency Department (ED). The EST is responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining a safe and organized environment, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the department. Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.RequirementsEducation, Training or Certifications Required:Level IHigh school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and licensure or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program preferred.Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.Level IIHigh school diploma or equivalent.Current listing on Maine CNA Registry.Advanced CNA training.BLS Certification.Level IIBHigh school diploma or equivalent.Graduate of a medical assistant program, with national CCMA, RMA or CMA certification.BLS certification.Level IIIHigh school diploma or equivalent.Currently Licensed as a Maine Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced (EMT-A) or Paramedic.BLS, ACLS, PALS Certifications.Experience Required:1-3 years of emergency room experience preferred but not required.Special Requirements:Basic computer skills preferred.Cognitive Requirements:Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing situations, and work as part of a team.Physical Demands:Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand for extended periods.Environment:Potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.Potential for exposure to infectious diseases.Potential for periods of high stress.#J-18808-Ljbffr
